Slightly different date/time problem...

Hi all! XBMC doesn't seem to want to remember my time zone (keeps re-setting it to Swahili or somewhere). I've seen this (http://xbmc.org/forum/showthread.php?t=35093) recent thread, but I don't have an issue with the XBOX booting to XBOXDASH, it loads up XBMC by default, just with the wrong time zone. If I change the zone to the correct one (BST), and enable DST, it corrects itself, but only until the next re-boot, when it reverts to the wrong time again. I've also seen some threads suggesting that the XBOXDASH time should be set after enabling Internet Server time, then disabling it afterwards - I tried this, but it didn't help. I'm running the latest T3CH build, and i'm a bit lost as to where to go next...

Still quite chuffed that I managed to softmod (HotSwap) the box, get XBMC fully working with diff skins, and get networking setup to my Ubuntu box without needing to ask silly questions, but i'm stumped here!

Hello,

Problem should came from the fact that you softmodded your Xbox with the wrong timezone.
I had a similar problem with an NDURE softmod.
The solution was the following:
- Launch Ndure
- Advanced settings: Disable virtual eeprom.bin
- Launch Xbox Dash
- Change your parameters in Xboxh dash
- Launch Ndure
- Advanced setting: Enable virtual eeprom.bin
- Problem solved

If your not using Ndure, I can't help you but I think that this is smae type of things and you need to play with eeprom.bin.

I don't think that ndure will work with KingRoach.
I suggest you to look on xbox-scene and query for Kingroach + virtual eeprom.

I just booted into the MS dash and changed the time setting there. Now XBMC shows the correct time.
