Reported bugs (to save people asking twice):
- no default icon set - user must select one or see nothing
- problem with dates scrolling in Clips list view
- overlapping text when deleting items
- overlapping text in weather view
- objects don't show up in queued window
I've encountered four bug in the three minutes I have used Alpha 12. I'm running the skin on the XBOX.
- Time/date is sometimes showing "0" instead of the current time and date
- The volume overlay is misplaced
- There are no background images for the music listview in file mode showing
- There is no default coverart in wallpaper mode in music (library mode).

Sorry, I've got to clarify this...
The backdrop is showing, but the textures that are the background for the rest of the screen are missing. They seem to appear and then quickly disappear.

Working fine for me on Xbox and PC. Did you do a clean install or overwrite?

I have aeon starting up in my movies/library/showcase mode and my poster don't show up. if I go up a level and back into my movies folder it fixes the problem.
By the way DJ your skin is amazing. I am showing it to every one I know.

one bug (I think) i've found is that in TV Shows, in showcase view, the direction of the TV Shows is backwards ... previously it was sorted alpha so you'd have A B C D E F etc, now it's the other way .. F E D C B A. I've tried changing the sorting direction from ascending to descending to know avail.

also, not too sure if this is an Aeon bug or an XBMC bug, but when trying to play a DVD (VIDEO_TS) in showcase mode, it doesn't actually play, but if I use "Play using" and select MPlayer, it works.
ewequeone: what build of xbmc are u using? if it's the 2008-07-15 there are playback issues, so revert to 06-30 til the next release.

I think I know what your problem is. Did you upgrade the skin while the old OSX compatibility mode was on? If so, it's trying to draw textures that aren't there. The option to turn it off isn't in the skin anymore, so do a full reset and it should be fine.

Excellent work on this - amazing skin. One thing ive been waiting for is music info I use it mostly for music but the music info screen when in library or file mode doesnt work.. I know its on the to do list but just wanted to float it again
On the splitting i think your right - its testament to the popularity of AEON that the original script has so many views. well done on creating it

That'll be a bug: the id of the button is clashing with one of XBMC's pre-defined ones. I'll attend to it.

Hey! The new build looks good! I noticed one bug that I figured I should mention. In the previous builds, when in Movies (Library mode), hitting the Info button would (obviously) bring up the info screen. If the IMDb had it available, you could scroll to the right and select Trailer and it would stream the trailer. Low res, but pretty cool. That's gone now.
Also, I mentioned this back in the big thread, but it probably got lost in the shuffle. It's a minor bug, but it's still doing it:
In the Aeon option screen, the second option tab, Home Shortcuts, has two columns. In the second column (the one that starts Set Clips Show Target), when you scroll all the way to the bottom, instead of returning to the top, it throws you over to the fourth tab Features.
Thanks, by the way, for adding the shutdown menu. I use a Monster (Harmony-based) remote with my Xbox, so I can program in the button sequence to shut down the Xbox when I switch to a different activity. It's nice to not have to do this manually anymore! Damn, I'm lazy...
I have just tried the new aeon alpha 12 and i think its a great skin. The only problem i had with it (besides those already mentioned in the thread) is that i have not been able to change between watched/unwatched episodes and movies in the video library mode.

Just wanted to say, even though sd is not this skin's intended audience, it works quite well :)
Used infranview to resize all my backdrops to 720x480 (cropped to 1.5:1 to match my tv) and it looks beautiful (as beautiful as sd can anyhow) and is extremely snappy, even on the xbox.
The only real problem I've noticed is the control bar at the top of the files views has the text controls overlapped. Aside from that there's distorted thumbs for tv shows.

Using the brand-new release (c, I think) on an xbox, and I can't get anything to show up in the queue...period. It lists items as being there, and they show up in PMIII, but when I switch to Aeon, they don't display.
Also...the highlighting on the text in, say, the options menus is a bit difficult to see on darker screens. I never quite know if I'm highlighting OK or Cancel.

using the newest release 12a on a mac, but also present in the older builds, it's not a big issue... but when you have the menu bar lowered and then click to go to any of the directories, the menu bar flashes in the middle of the screen during the transition into the selected directory.

I'm using the newest AEON with Plex (OSXBMC) and when I try to change the fanart of a tv-show the app crashes.
This didn\t happen before with the old scrolling info screen (where you can choose Get Fanart)
It crashes when I select the fanart I want and press ENTER

In the Windows build, the fanart change does take about a minute to return control to you. It doesn't crash, however, so I'm thinking this is a Plex issue. I'm reluctant to offer support to Plex and Windows XBMC, tbh, simply because of their status as "unofficial". I can recall chasing about a dozen crippling bugs that were specific to those versions and nothing skin-related at all.

from the beginning i really liked the skin but i found it not usable yet. At this moment (since v 11) i'm running it permantly and loving it.
Ofcourse there are a couple of things still needed to be fixed but you're working on that i noticed and progress i going very fast.
Still i have two suggestions/bugs or whatever:
1. CodecInfo is not avaidable yet (Pres i during playback), i really like this option in the PMIII skin and I sometimes even switch back just to check this. As i see it just 'copy' it from PMIII is suffient for now and it does fit with the layout.
2. The 2nd thing I still have to switch back for it Apple Movie Trailers script. This script won't run, XBMC doesn't crash though. Just nothing. I know this is maybe not very important at this moment but in my opinion that script rocks. Maybe support (with aeon skin) in the future is possible? :p

I can indeed confirm that 'plex' crashes in aeon while trying to change fanart for a tv show. However, Pm3 does not crash.

You should make sure tht your in showcase view at the seasons level and it should work.

Make a folder inside Apple Movie trailer/skin/default and call it 720p then copy all the info from Apple Move Trailers/skin/defalt/PAL16x9 into the new folder. It *should* work but it might look a little funky unless you want to manually edit the xml files to make the dimensions right.

Ok i'm using xbmc(on an xbox)( i think i'm using the 6-30 tch build) and using aeon 12a downloaded from the site.
I downloaded all of the background packs, and after converting all to tiffs as reccommended on the backgrounds page (using irfan). and placed them in the following directories.
f:\xbmc\skin\aeon\backgrounds\Movies
f:\xbmc\skin\aeon\backgrounds\Tvshows
f:\xbmc\skin\aeon\backgrounds\Games
f:\xbmc\skin\aeon\backgrounds\Pictures
f:\xbmc\skin\aeon\backgrounds\Music
I also set the background dirs for each of the aforementioned sections.
this didn't work at all. So i cleared the directories and converted the backgrounds to png's and reuploaded and reset the directories, Still no hope.
So i continued to clear and convert the files this time to bmp files and again i reset the directories. This worked but i think i found two bugs. First in the Aeon->background settings page no thumbnails show up on the right when the directory is selected.
Second on the actual home screen the following happens:
if i select any of the sections such as games a random image from the directory will show up but it i switch to annother section (from games) that has a directory set, the background image will not load (the background image will just be black), and if i switch from a black background to annother category with a directory set it will show the background just fine.
If i go from a section with the background dir set to a section without a background dir set (and therefore uses the default image) and then the next section has a bg dir set all three will show image backgrounds. Also if i stay on any section it will show an image, then when it cycles to the next random image it will not load image, but the next time it cycles it will show the image. And lastly if i am on one of the setions that when switching it loaded a black background, when it switches for the first time it will load the background then the next time it will load black, then image, and so on.
Ok so i realize thats a lot of detail, but i think i have nailed the bugs down to the following,
1. Tiff, and png don't work at all.
2. The thumbnail on the right side of the Aeon->Backgrounds page doesn'
t show any thumbnails after selecting a background directory.
3. If the skin tries to switch from one background to background (where the first and second background is from a background directory) will only load every other background, in other words it cannot switch from one two annother without loading a black background between each.
I hope that covers it. If you need any more details let me know.

@darkmadda: this is a common issue that everyone complains about... its because the xbox does not have enough computing power/memory... you should make sure the xbox mode is on in the aeon settings and make sure the backdrops are all scaled down to 1280x720 or preferabally even a smaller size.

After a lot trail and error I've found the best way to avoid running out of memory (on my Xbox at least) when using fanart on AEON.
I don't know if there's a specific minimum amount of free memory needed for XBMC to function properly but will running my tests it appeared that dropping below 5000KB caused backdrops/fanart not to load and videos to not play.
The biggest memory hit I found was in TV Shows. While displaying the backdrop and posters AEON slides the selected poster to the side and loads the fanart - memory would drop well below 5000KB. I assume this is because it's still storing the backdrop and posters, so when the time comes to change the random backdrop for another (even though it's not being displayed) XBMC doesn't have enough to perform this function and you end up with a blank backdrop.
So with the following conditions I managed to keep the free memory at about 10000KB and there were no instances of videos not playing or artwork not loading.
All backdrops are resized to 960x540
Thumbnails are at default (196)
All fanart is resized (if needed) to 1280x720
My Xbox is running in 720p mode on a 42"plasma. Backdrops still look great at 960x560. It tried fanart at this size but it doesn't look too good (jaggies).
I take responsibility for the confusion over TIFFs versus BMPs. I should have updated the info when it turned out Xbox/Windows didn't like TIFFs.

I've just got my backdrops formatted to 1024x768, and everything loads up pretty quickly. I'm running Aeon on an Xbox @720p on a 58" HDTV. Looks crispy. A bit higher-rez would be nice, but I'm happy with more performance.
Again...does anybody know why I can't see/access anything in the movie playlist? Is it just not done yet?
And in case it hasn't been pointed out, movie fanart doesn't seem to work at all on the xbox. I'm not sure if it's XBMC's problem or the skin's...
As far as the memory issue while caching random backgrounds...why not stop the randomizing routine while a custom img is being displayed?
I'm using a Xbox with a HDTV cable. All background resized to 720 and converted to bmp. When I, for the first time, enter Movies, TV-shows or Music the image freezes and become black. I have to manually restart the Xbox.
My solution is to enter another skin, enter the Movies/Tv-shows/Music category. The image doesn't freeze when using another skin than Aeon.
Then, I switch back to Aeon. And this time it is no problem entering the above categories. It seems to be only the first time.
I didn't have this problem with the previous version. So it seems to be a bug in the new ALPHA12 or ALPHA12a version.
Since everything works in all other skins i'm guessing that this is a Aeon bug. And yes, I've checked the specific XBOX setting in Aeon that is suppose to fix black screens. I've also tried resetting all Aeon-settings.
Any ideas?
What are your thumbnails set at?
Also try resizing a single backdrop to 960x540, select it as your only backdrop and see if it works then.

That's because you can't download or browse for movie fanart as far as I know. Correct me if I'm wrong.

You can't download it (yet) but you can definitely browse for it. Tested on Win32 build using Back-Row skin - still not working on the Xbox.
In fact it doesn't even have to be in jpg format as I used both that and bmp while testing.

Hitcher's response is correct. It can be browsed for, but can't be downloaded. There's currently no online source for all movie fanart yet, so no download functionality.

After getting a more recent XBMC and the most recent Aeon I am seeing this as well. It has only been very recently. I can't tell if it's the skin or the XBMC side but I can try some other skins I guess to determine that.

I'm pretty new to Linux, but if I do sudo apt-get upgrade (and have the deb package in my sources), will that work? I think I did that last night but I will try again tonight. The DVD playing is messed up as well so I am trying to kill two birds with one stone. Getting XBMC working properly (sorting of movies and DVD playing) and getting the latest Aeon up and working correctly. This is about one tweak away from being the ultimate HTPC.

I finally installed Alpha13 and noticed something I thought I should mention here. I'm not sure if it's a bug or intentional, but on the Info screen in the Movies library, if there is a trailer available, then the last button is labeled Trailer. If there is no trailer available, then the last button is labeled (and goes to) Video Settings. You only see one or the other, not both. I'm not sure that a Video Settings button is even necessary...
I've noticed that now that there is a Get Fanart button, not all of the buttons show up onscreen at once. You have to slide the buttons over to see if the Trailer/Video Settings button is there. This part is a request, but there is a lot of empty space in the buttons. Is there any way you could free up some of that space to make six buttons show on the screen at once instead of five? It would be a nice little timesaver and also be more intuitive.

Very minor issue, that really does not need to be fixed for a while but Ill say it anyways... I love how on the main screen you can bring the menu bar to the bottom of the screen, but when you click on 'Movies' or 'TV shows' or anything it flashes up to the middle before entering the next screen......... like I said.... Minor. great work DJH.
I've resized all backrounds and icons since I'm using an XBOX. But when entering Picures my XBOX still freezes. I've got lot of high quality pictures and I know that XBMC automatically makes icons of every picture. It seems to be that automatic process that makes XBMC freeze. However, when trying this with another skin, like PM III, then it works. So I guess this is a problem with Aeon. Is there a way to make this work? As I said, I've already resized all backgrounds. And I have no icons in the Pictures category. Movies and TV Series works without a problem. It's only a problem with Pictures.
Any ideas?
So I opened up Acens.ttf in a font editor and fixed the bearings of that dodgy "I" glyph. Took about two minutes. Looks fine now.

It'll be fixed in all releases from now on. It was a trial edition font editor, so hopefully it hasn't added any bullshit to other letters.

I think so. I have Aeon_Alpha13 with the 2008-06-01 svn rev13360 version of xbmc. I just updated to the Alpha13 though, but it still doesn't let me do anything in the playlist menu. Any ideas?
errors/bugs in 13a
in audio OSD can't go up from Play or Skip FWD buttons
in Video OSD can't go up from skip forward and clicking Root Menu stops video playback (tested avi without a menu)
and on a side note I find the whole "The AEON icon Project, Help create Aeons multiple icon sets icons@aeonproject.com" for eveything dosn't have a thumb like shares really anoying but thats more for the discussion thread I guess
I'm probably going to bin those ads as I doubt they're having the desired effect.

yeah, about that. why is it that fanart only works in showcase mode? it is not looking too good when you have a show with like 2 season or one, I prefer the list view for the seasons but still miss the changing backgrounds.

Seriously, though, the disadvantage of having one brain and two arms is that things like fanart do take a short while to implement. The alternative would be to release less often and wait until such features are complete, which would probably just mean other problems arising instead. And you don't just want screenshots, right? As the wise folk at Google would say: release early, release often. You get the picture.

Not sure if this is what you are talking about but replacing the tv fanart image control of Myvideonav.xml with this code will get you fanart at the season level as well as at the episode level in all views.

This skin is amazing. I really like it's beautiful simplicity.
Some minor "bugs" below that have been around for a while so not sure if they are on the radar to get resolved.
1) In the List view from the Clips menu, the date displayed on the right hand side of the list does the marquee/scroll-in-place thing even though all of the date is displayed (which presumably means it doesn't need to scroll). The marquee/scrolling effect doesn't seem necessary and is a bit of an eye distraction when moving down the list.
2) When the delete option is enabled on the XBox, after choosing Delete for a file, the filename to be deleted overlays some other text in the very bottom panel making it almost impossible to read.
Great work - I look forward to each update that comes out.
I just upgraded to ALPHA13b (26-7-2008) by just FTP-ing the "Aeon-folder" to skin after deleting the previous one (25-7-2008)
Only "Poster" will give me an icon. It was alright when running 25-7-2008 build.
I'm running XBOX' XBMC in 720p mode with 720p backdrops. When I'm in "Showcase" I can see the "mirror-image", but the frame in which the icon should be is empty.
You have to choose an icon set, it will fix the posters bug.

No worries ;) I have actually put together a few minor fixes and some rather simple additions that I think add to the skin. This is still my default skin as I am very very slowly working on my skin. Anyway, I don't want to step on your toes as I know how you feel about people hacking up your work. Would you be opposed to me putting up some screenshots or vids of what I have done? If you like it great, you are more than welcome to use it. If not, no harm no foul. It is just stuff that works for me while I am hacking away at my own stuff. Cheers.

This has existed in Aeon as long as I can remember, and I've seen the bug posted before...I'm running Aeon12, so slap me if this was fixed: With rename/delete active, when you remove a file from the library, it also asks you if you would like to delete the files. That dialog is jumbled:

Ok so i found a few things. not sure if all of them are bugs in aeon.

Xbox media center, running on v.1.5 xbox, with and the latest t3ch svn build ( 7-16 i think) and i just downloaded aeon v13

#2. Fanart doesn't seem to work at all. Not in library mode, not in file mode, nothing. I know it downloads the fanart, if i click the info button and click the fan art menu i can browse them. but they never show up as backgrounds.

A few more bugs that I've noticed. The first has been around for ages, the second I've only noticed in the 13c release.
1) If a Settings background folder is chosen in the Backgrounds section, the default image (Grass image) is shown once one of the Menu items is chosen. This can be worked around by physically setting the Settings image rather than the background folder.
2) When going back to the Main menu using either the Back or Menu button on the XBox Remote I've noticed the configured Settings background image flash up very quickly. I think I also saw the Settings image flash up when the XBox started. It's only there for a fraction of a second and doesn't always seem to show up. I'm using 720p background images on XBox hardware.
This skins getting close to covering off everything I use in XBMC - great work, keep it up!

Yes, get them directly from TVDB (http://thetvdb.com/) and save them in the shows folder as 'folder.jpg'.

Couple of little bugs -
Fading in music info for plasma screens no longer works.
Both vignette options have the opposite effect. ie enabling them actually disables them.
Custom backdrops are not showing for me. PNG/JPG alike. The default "grass" works perfectly. But if I change the source directory to anything, I just get the black texture. I am having the exact same problem as Ryuzaki. This occurred with 13b/c using the lastest SVN build on Ubuntu 8.04 Linux.

The funny thing is if you look closely the reflection shows up.

Ok this isn't working either. if i switch to library mode, then i exit, then i re-enter the section (say tv shows) it switches back to file mode.
Oh and one more thing, I have a show in tv shows that isn't in tvdb and so after the scan it doesn't appear in the library, is there anyway to get around this? (the show by the way is Doctor Horrible's Singalong Blog (web show technically, but awesome if you haven't seen it))

I can indeed confirm that 'plex' crashes in aeon while trying to change fanart for a tv show. However, Pm3 does not crash.
Fixed in the next release.
Just one thing... when u check the movie info and the context menu pops up... if u exit it... u automatically return to the first item in the list... just thought i'd let u know!
I'm aware of that. Not sure how to fix it yet, though.

I get the black background when setting a custom background or setting a background folder (BMP files from backpack). I don't see anything in the debug logs about even trying to load an image, so I'm a bit confused. Any pointers?

Also, single background images work fine in PM3, so it's either a skin problem or something deeper. Will await Jezz_X's arrival and see if he can reproduce with any of his skins so we can find out the cause of it.

DJH I'm not sure how long this has been present but in current build (14) when you go to movie information or tv show information the "Trailer" button is always present. This is a problem, at least on plex, because if you push it when there is no actual trailer available, the program will crash. Pm3's Trailer button is conditional on the other hand and doesn't show unless available.
Good work as always... I believe you tweaked those home buttons just a tad this time? they look nice.

two small things:
1. The "core" is really hard to navigate out of, I've found that you can only go back if you navigate back to the filemanager and have the focus in the file manager itself (rather than the buttons on the bottom)
2. I know this whole area is pretty much place holder you said, but in the Aeon info, again in the core menu's, my aeon version is still registering as Aeon 13 although I'm running 14... perhaps the skin.xml wasn't updated?
those are barely any issue at all, but just somethings I've noticed... keep up the good work.
When adding sources the 'Enter paths...' window stays on top of the 'Browse for new share' window.

There are a few inconsistencies in there that are messing up pictures/comics. For example you have <onclick>Skin.Reset(programpics)</onclick> where it should be picturepics and the same happens with comics. Also the MyPictures,$INFO[Skin.String(comicpath)]) needs an "s" so it should be comicspath. The section should look something like this so that it matches the information that mypics.xml is looking for.

I've changed nothing, but strangely it's working fine now!
One problem I have noticed though - running on the xbox the search function in music seems a bit.....bollocksed. I enter an artist to search for and it just goes back to the main music screen. Not sure if this is Aeon, xbox or xbmc related but thought I'd give the heads up.

Cheers for the info, though much of what you've picked up on isn't on the fix list as both Comics and the Poster info panel are being removed. I'm keen to trim any "novelty" features that don't really fit; both of those are candidates. That might explain why I've been neglecting them the last few releases.

I can confirm this fix just worked on my xbox. Had to switch to PMIII, restart the xbox, then reselect AEON, get the black 'keep or reset settings' screen. Hit 'select' to reset everything then voila, my episode view is all fixed.

I can confirm this too, but it didn't work with the reset (keeping the paths) you have to do a full settings restore.

Everything is working here... the last time you reset your settings was it with the v14? if not maybe try that again to try to fix the fanart... And I know you said you did but make sure you have the 'contextual art for seasons/episodes' enabled in the aeon settings as well. that's all I know to try.
Or failing that remove all mention of AEON in the guisettings.xml found in the userdata folder.
I'm finding it quite reassuring that so many of the recent "bug" reports seem to involve either running at the wrong res on Xbox or failing to do the most basic thing: purging the settings with each new version. Guess there aren't that many real problems after all.
That's not a dig, btw.

For me to get it working I had to select PMIII and restart the xbox. Then select AEON as the skin. When backing out of the SCREEN settings page you're given the option of keeping or resetting all settings. Reset all here!
I tried the reset in the AEON setting screen and this didn't fix it for me. NFI what the difference between the two is.
There's no difference at all - they call the same function.

Last night I installed Aeon version 14A and was excited to check out the new info screens for the movie libraries. I must say djh_ that your stuff just keeps getting cooler.
Unfortunately though, I ran across some wacky behavior. I clicked on the trailer button from said info screen and when the trailer finished the film in question was missing from the library.
I switched the view and verified that I wasn't filtering based on watched/unwatched or any other parameters - no luck.
Then I switched to PMIII and the film didn't show up there either. I ended up having to run a library update and clean to get back in business.
I haven't tried it again, but wanted to mention it before I forgot. I figure it kinda defeats the purpose of the trailer, if it sells you on the film and then makes you jump through hoops to watch it. ;)
BTW, I'm using the xbox version and the latest T3CH build.

When you updated you may have erased your database... did you keep your userdata folder? what system are you running xbmc on anyways... additionaly this isn't an aeon issue per say... furthermore, what have you done recently to have caused this? updated xbmc I presume... asking "what gives?" really doesn't give us much to go on.
couple of things I noticed, when setting video mode defaults whilst watching a video, the text overlays making it unreadable, weather text is still out, and even though Ive re-set the skin, im still not getting episode images when there selected.

I've had a funny bug/crash that has happened twice now, once with an older build and once with Build 14 & the latest T3CH build (2008-07-28):
I'll move a movie folder over to the Xbox (with an IMDb .nfo file). In XBMC, my normal method is to go into Movies and then switch to Files mode. I highlight the new folder and select Info. This will bring up the movie information and then add it to the Library. If the IMDb scraper doesn't supply a poster image, I'll then go over to the computer, find one, rename it folder.jpg and then move it over to the Xbox. Here's where the weird bug/crash comes in. From the Info screen, I select the Get Thumb button. If I accidentally select No Thumb instead of Browse, the Xbox locks up.
I reboot and go back to Movies. As soon as I scroll toward that folder, it crashes right before it appears. It seems to be crashing during the process of making the thumb.
I reboot and go into Movies again. This time I don't scroll and switch to Library mode instead. It switches and then locks up. All is well if I reboot, clean the library and delete that movie folder. Here's a crazy part: If I reupload that folder to the Xbox, all of the crashing problems start again! The only way I can get that folder over and set it up in the library is to rename that folder. If I do that, I can hit Info and it adds to the library just fine. As long as I don't accidentally hit No Thumb, that is!
Weird, huh? Could this be an XBMC problem and not an Aeon problem? I suppose I should try it in PMIII...
Okay, just tried it and it didn't lock up or crash with PMIII.
BTW, has anyone else noticed that the IMDb scraper never seems to supply posters anymore? And for all of my recent library adds, writer and director seems to always show up as "Not Available". Am I the only one this is happening to? This is happening even with big Hollywood movies that have a poster, as well as writer and director information, on the IMDb web page itself.
When watching a DVD file (.iso or video_ts) the "root menu" button does not take me the DVD's menu but back to my video library. Works fine in the PMIII but not Aeon.
(30 June T3CH build, Xbox v1.6). Would love to see this fixed.
Okay so I found the .xml file that I believe I need to change in order to make the DVDplayer go to the DVD menu instead of stopping the movie but I don't know what parameter I need to give the function. As is the function looks like this:
"<onclick>XBMC.PlayerControl(Stop)</onclick>"
I tried putting 'Menu' in instead of 'Stop' but that didn't work. I guess I will poke around some more and see what I can find unless someone tells me otherwise.

Nevermind- I found the necessary parameter by looking through the PM III skin, "ShowVideoMenu". So now my VideoOSD.xml looks like this under the Root Menu command.

So now the when watching a DVD file "root menu" takes you to the DVD Menu and when watching other videos root menu does nothing.

Latest release - if you bring up the menu for visualisations whilst playing music from the side menu most of the text is missing and what is there is obscured by the menu.

I have upgraded Aeon from Alpha12 to Alpha14 on a Mac mini running Plex (nee. OSXBMC), and Aeon via the Core option reports itself as being Alpha13.
Obviously not a critical bug. :grin:
PS. No I have not reset Aeon settings.

On the matter of the selected episode thumb not showing up...
I put Aeon 14 on my system and found I was having that problem as well (I had earlier Aeon versions installed previously.) I reset the settings (or at least I thought I had) and the problem persisted.
Then last night I saw there was a new T3CH version out. I installed that, and the latest Aeon skin and then Aeon lite over top. Its all looking fantastic, but low amazingly I am still having problems with the selected thumb not showing up!?!
I've only read one or two people complaining about this problem, but I can't understand why I'm having this problem since I've done a clean install. Are there any settings related to Aeon that are persisted outside the XBMC folder? I installed XBMC into a completely new folder and set it all up from scratch without copying any old files over.
Any ideas??

Even though clicking on reset *should* default all the settings I still go to guisettings.xml and manually delete every entry for Aeon (or whatever skin I am upgrading) each and every time and I have yet to run into problems. It may be overkill, but hey it works.
Closing this thread due to the founding of the Aeon empire (well, subforum). Post bug report threads in the subforum for whatever issues arise/persist.
