Help with Lirc settup pls

ive built myself a serial port IR reciever and i have tested it .
(was running this hardware with meedio for some years already)

i have setup winlirc and have the necessary lircsetup files(i think)

and i have the lircmap.xml file that i guess translates the button presses to xbmc commands.

but im unsure how to merge the lircmap.xml and keymap.xml?

any help would be much apprecaited.

is it possible that lirc interpreter is not built into xbmc for windows? as it is with linux??

i have setup winlirc, captured my button presses, and added a <remote device="device name"> tag in global section of keymap.xml

Yep, winlirc support isn't implemented. You may want to try IR server suite.
