Boot Xbox up from a Xbox (USB) memory card?

Hello!

I accidentally deleted the dashboard on my xbox and I've been trying to find an ftp-capable way of booting my xbox so that I can ftp a copy of the dashboard back to the harddrive.

I tried to burn EVO-X using Qwick, ISOMagic and Craxtion - none of them worked.

While I download Auto Install Deluxe (2 day download!), I'm thinking of trying to boot from a dashboard on my memory card.

Is there a bios, or other interface I can use to instrcut my Xbox to boot from the memory card?

the easy way is to burn evox or similar which offers ftp access and then upload c drive files/fix boot problem. some drives are picky. use a good brand dvd like verbatim and burn at 1x speed.
dont think u can boot from memory card...

you cant boot from memory card. as ultrabrutal said, burn an ftp enabled dash to a dvd or cdrw. you can also try searching for a slayers iso. it'll install a dash for u.
