Swf/Flv files

Is there a way to play swf or flv movie files that are saved to the hard drive? If not, is there a plugin, or a seperate piece of software possibly? I heard lynksbox plays them without sound, but I want something that works 100 percent, and with sound. Am not wanting to play swf or flv games, just movies.

swf is not possible afaik, .flv is. It works pretty ok here, but some files go out of sync heavily, and some play fine.
