installing and running scripts

Hey guys, I´m sorry if this sounds incredibly stupid, but here we go:

I´m running XBMC on 8.04 and it works fine, except that I can´t get any scripts to run correctly. What I do to install them is simply to extract them into /usr/share/xbmc/scripts/"scriptname"/ and I can access them without problems in XBMC. However, they all run incorrectly somehow. The Youtube script displays the menus, but no data, Tetris doesn´t run at all etc.

I´m fairly new to both XBMC and Linux, so I won´t be offended by some idiotic suggestions :)

Linux is case sensitive, XBOX isn't. Many of the scripts have case errors apparently and aren't yet ready for XBMC on Linux last I read.

Thanks, this makes total sense. But is there a source of linux ready scripts anywhere, or some way to find out wich ones work and wich don´t?

Trial and error comes to mind. Feel free to start a thread of what works and what doesn't, though it will likely only get thread jacked by idiots.
