View Full Version : i formated my xbox help!!!
i had xbmc on before and wanted a newer verson so it wouldent install
so i reformated and now it dosent even know that it reads discs what can i do

Does it read original Xbox games (bought retail ones, not copies/backups)? Was it softmodded (exploit) or hardware modded (modchip)? Can you boot a EvoX boot DVD-R (yes burn only a DVD-R/DVD-RW, or maybe test CD-RW, do not even bother trying CD-R)?
...in any case you should go to the xbox-scene.com forums (http://www.xbox-scene.com) for more help, as this is not a XBMC problem.
soft mod the hrad drive has no infromation at all it has no softwear cant even read discs it dosent even start up it just turns on and gibes me an eorr screan

Sorry but I don't understand you (please run spellcheck next time and try to be more describing).
If it was a softmodded Xbox then you will need to softmod it again, now if it does now read original Xbox games (bought retail ones, not copies/backups) then your only option if to hot-swap your harddrive with your PC to do the softmod that way instead of using a game exploit. Again, you should turn to xbox-scene.com (http://www.xbox-scene.com) for their tutorials and forums as we do not actually deal with the modding part here.
