play vidoe file from hard disk

hello all....
I have extract and install (using FTP) some games to F:\GAMES\ on my XBMC
I have create a new folder on my XBMC F:\VIDEOS\ and copy 3 AVI movies
when I use the main menu and select the "VIDEOS" is show nothing in the list...

what am I doing wrong here?
do I need to convert the files?

You need to open "sources.xml" (located in used data) and point xbmc to your videos folder

good point sho... not sure why, but i have always edited my sources manually. Perhaps it makes me feel smart...:cool:
