Hi there Guys!

I decided to open my xbox and try to connect a usb cable to the internal cables from port 1.My efforts ended unsuccesfully. I later used one of the control cables (Outside the xbox to get them together with a usb cable) and Voillį I got what I wanted.
Anyway that's the story, now the question.

Is there an option in XBMC that controls which ports to use because after my little experiment I have not been able to use any other control port to play with my emulators; that is, the programs in XBMC. It was pretty much clear to me that I had completly destroyed the cable from port 1, but then I thought: "what the hell I have three more ports".
Obviously I was mistaken...
???
So any suggestion will be highly appreciated

XBMC is not an operating-system, it is a stand-alone application just like an Xbox game (and any other Xbox application, like for example an emulator), and while XBMC has the ability to launch other Xbox application (games, emulators, etc.) it totally looses all control over the Xbox once that other application starts as the Xbox can only run one executable at any one time, (so you can never have two native Xbox applications running at the same time). Thanks For the information, pretty interesting indeed!

Still the problem wont go away, (Unless I missed something in the threads). I can definitely play any Xbox game, and use all the XBMC's features, but when running the emulator and trying to play Pac Man, Mortal Kombat or Donkey Kong Country I just wont get pass the welcome screen. I pretty much understand that the emulator is a stand alone application, so it would be difficult to change anything in it.

I am (/(&(/%/%/ ...

Thanks anyway!

I think, but am not 100%, that most emulators run as the original console did i.e. controller port 1 controls the menu navigation. I don't think it was till the N64/PSX that controllers other than the one in the first port could navigate menus apart from their own pause menu in game.

That seems to be the case for all of my emulators pre n64.
