just want to know :-)

it seems more and more dvds are being ripped to xvid now than divx. i personally don't care except that my pc cannot play the newest xvid-encoded videos no matter what version of the codec i have. the xbox plays them fine though.

xvid all the way :d

anomaly, have you tried ffdshow (http://athos.leffe.dnsalias.com/)? you can get the leatest version here, once this is installed no need for any of those sucky codec packs which cause more problems than they fix.

also there is the xvid direct show decoder (you may have to force ffdshow disable xvid playback if running these two together) which you can get here (http://www.roeder.goe.net/~koepi/xvid.shtml) along with xvid 1.0 final encoder
