I have successfully compiled XBMC to work on my Kubuntu 7.04 Feisty system. Playing DVD's always shows them at max speed. It seems the files are played at the speed they are loaded from disk. It makes no difference using ISO files or unpacked DVD files.

Is this a known problem? I can post additional info when needed...

are you getting sound? If not, I've seen similar things when my sound device wasn't configured correctly.

Was like the movie was playing in fastforward.
