Hi Guys,

I've just gotten the latest version of an xbmc build - T3CH XBMC 2008-02-24

I was hoping it would fix a problem I have been having for a while but it didn't...

When I start a video, a box top right hand of the screen shows up, with the movie length and current position in it like this "0:00 / 1:46"...but the current position goes straight to the end time..."1:46 / 1:46".

This doesn't affect the movie, but this window won't dissapear. I thought this window would be something that would pop up if you pushed a button, not default. I don't know what to do to get it to go away and stay away. Can anyone please help me?

This is the classic problem that is hard to articulate and thus hard to search for, even though its been answered a million times on the boards.

The cause: the Xbox gamepads' right analog stick can be used to control the volume (by pressing up or down) and the current media position (by pressing left or right). However, if you don't let go of the stick, the current position never changed and you see what you are seeing now.

The fix: Unplug all of your gamepads one by one until you see it go away. Track down the gamepad that is responsible and fiddle with the right stick to re-center it. Now plug it back in (Or don't if you don't need it and want to avoid this issue).

Thanks!

You're right, it was hard to articulate. But it also should've been something I should've checked! D'OH @ me!

No annoying box now :)
