Text/Fonts not showing (SDL 2D = 3D disabled)

I just compiled XBMC on Ubuntu, the text and fonts are not showing up where theyre supposed to. All text seems to be printed in the top left corner, whenever i press a button in the menu i can see the text changing in the corner though its really hard to read since it all gets stacked on top of the older text.

Are you compiling the SDL/2D (3D disabled?) build?

Yes, forgot to say that in my post. I'm building with 3D disabled.

then i'm sorry to say that it's a limitation of the SDL/2D build...

If you just want to try-out XBMC for Linux, you can try the USBLive version (available in this forum).
