Hi all,

would it be possible to have somehow an visual Indicator how many Channels a Video file contains ?

I am asking this as my Xbox is connected via a toslink cable to my Amp and I normally watch movies in 6 Channel Stereo Mode.

Sometimes when I am lucky the movies are 5.1 so I can manually switch to Cinema mode.

It would be nice to have some visual indication in the infobar or somewhere whilst playing back

My suggestion is that you enable the option "Output to all speakers" in audio config in xbmc and that you always leave the amp in cinema mode. This way you'll always benefit of the 5.1 surround when the movie has it. And you don't have to fiddle around with settings each time you watch a movie.
