svn: Can't find a temporary directory

anyone know what's going on here? I already have xbmc compiled and went to update and it gave me this error message:

svn: REPORT request failed on '/svnroot/xbmc/!svn/vcc/default'
svn: Can't find a temporary directory: Error string not specified yet


I have space on my HDD over 300gigs infact so that's deffinately not it.
