I'm a Noob ~ But I think it looks like the XBMC Scripts site is down. I just figured out this existed, and was excited to try it out, but no go. I'm guessing this is not too common. Anybody know when the site may be back up ??

I think he was hoping that an admin posted here and we'd have info on whether it was even being working on.
Unfortunately I don't think that's the case.
well, the site will be up as soon as I have gotten my network up and running here at home..
backups are on another computer the isn't connected to my network yet, since we just moved here.

hints for blittan:

find a usb thumbstick
make sure said thumbstick had enough space for the "backup files"
connect said thumbstick to the "Offline" pc and xfer the files to it
unmount thumbstick
remove thumbstick
connect said thumbstick to a pc that is "Online"

I have a ton of server space .. can I host a mirror?

No there is no mirror.. I also have tons of serverspace so setting up a mirror aint the huge problem..

you may have server space .. but what good would a mirror do if its on the same server?
if it were on someone elses server (other than your own), your content would still be available to the world right now. But instead, we're talking about the space on a server that isn't serving

But if you dont want my help, (once you're up and running) I'll just leech the entire website to my hard drive and serve it locally, to myself.
I don't check the site too often nowadays so I didn't notice the site was down until someone told me today. I will see if I can fix it tomorrow.

Quite frankly I'm tired of the site as it is now. I don't think that comes of much a surprise seeing that I haven't been that active lately. Mambo and docman really isn't suitable anymore for the site, but the problem is that I don't have time nor interest to work on a new site at the moment. I believe blittan have future plans for it though. That said, it's a shame it's not up and running, but I'm rather busy nowadays so I haven't had time to check it more often. I hope it's up and working soon (looking into it, but need help from server owner because of some permission problems).
The thing is more complicated than it may seem, so I'd suggest you change your tone when speaking of a case that you don't know too much about.

I have been working on a new site the last couple of days to serve scripts and plug ins. It's not completely finished yet but you can upload and download scripts. I am gathering up scripts and plug ins to add to the site. If you have one please upload it at xbmczone.com. Help spread the word. I am also writing a installer plug in for xbmc just haven't had time to finish it. I will post back when its available.

please, if you are going to do this.. then do it right.. plugins contains scripts.. the scripts are containing modules that cant be used on the xbox but are for integrating functions in scripts.
also, there are work done on team xbmc's official addons manager.. which you would have learned if you only bothered to ask.
