Hi, I´m experiencing problems with myTV V1.17, and earlier versions
in that when requesting the channel content from tvgids.nl (yes I´m in the Netherlands) I get an HTTP error 10054 , remote side closed connection.

This happened overnight, without me changing anything in myTV, I´ve tried to find out what changed but the tvgids.nl site does not seem to have changed, requesting the URL that myTV requests in firefox gives the expected result.
I´m thinking that maybe the site checks for the user_agent, but removing the standard identification from firefox still did not break the site and also gave back the expected results.

I´m lost :confused2: , anybody any advice ?
Thanks, Nico

I am expiring the same problem. Did you already found out what the problem is?

Best regards,
Frank.

No, seems to have something to do with cookies or USER_AGENT setup,
I´m looking at gids.omroep.nl, but Billy says that there are some problems too, which I also see.

At least it´s great to know someone else in NL is using myTV, great program isn´t it ?

Regards, Nico

I´ve found a solution for retrieving gids.omroep.nl and mailed it to BBB,
I probably need till wednesday to build a datasource for it, but things are looking great.

hang in there

Nice to hear you found something. I have been looking at those python scripts, but I am still a bit stumped on them and trying to learn them. I am interested in the new datasource, let me know.

He VIA. Do you already know what the status is? Maybe I can help? I am thinking on working on a VLC backend to start recordings. Like sending UDP packets from MyTV script. Ive been doing some tests with it already. Starts to look promising.
