I have some playback problems and has recently found out that if I use the DVDplayer for the playback, everything works great, but not with Mplayer. How do I make DVDplayer default player?
I use the latest T3CH 10638 release
you can't. and what isn't working with mplayer?
The playback is not running smothly on playbacks from my tv recordings. In 1.1.0 everything went perfectly, but not after I uppgraded to 2.0.1. I have tried several versions and reinstalled but. Same thing with every 2.x.x version.
so is this dvr-ms files or something else?

I was wondering the same thing...
Mplayer seems to work fine if I play a file all the way thru. But if I stop a file and go back and play it again (having xbmc remember position) the audio goes out of a sync after a few minutes. Stopping the file and then playing it using dvdplayer works with no problems, the file continues were it left off with no audio sync issues.
Usually it happens with Xvids, but I cant say it happens with ONLY Xvids. I dont normally stop a file when its playing but when I do this often happens. I think it may happen more with PAL Xvids...Hmmm... I'll try to pay better attention and keep track.
Currently using T3CH 10770, but this has been an issue for me for what seems like a long time...Never posted about it since it's remedied by using dvdplayer.
