i admit, this would be nice, then i wouldn't have to search on the net, call the theatre, or get a news paper when i want to check out a flick.

i've got a script working that does something very similar. it checks hollywood.com (instead of imdb), and requires a zip code, so it's probably no help outside the us.

but i commented the hell out of it, so you might be able to convert it pretty easily, as long as you've got a good grip on regular expressions.

it's called "xmovieguide," and should be available on the upload/download page as soon as i get a confirmation email from them....
