Has anyone tried setting up XBMC as the install dash similar to the Mythbuntu Installation?

Here are 2 Tools below that can be used to customize an installation disk to
Come with XBMC already set up on it

Mythbuntu also ask if you would like ATI or Nvidia drivers to be installed at the beginning of the installation

Looks interesting, I'd like a nice way to integrate Mythtv with XBMC too

The links are dead.

"XBMCbuntu" (http://xbmc.org/forum/showthread.php?t=51713) is a (http://xbmc.org/wiki/?title=XBMCbuntu) minimilistic (https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Installation/MinimalCD) ubuntu (also XBMC Live) with no windows manager and XBMC it also has both the nvidia and ATI drivers preinstalled.

Mythubuntu from what I know of it has GNOME on by default and doesnt use this stripped down approach. Someone also documented a similar guide (http://xbmc.org/wiki/?title=HOW-TO_install_XBMC_for_Linux_on_Ubuntu_with_a_minimal _installation_step-by-step) in the wiki making use of the XBMC live scrips made by l.capriotti documented here (http://xbmc.org/forum/showpost.php?p=342000&postcount=6). That will use regular ubuntu desktop distro and use the xbmc user created by the xbmc live scripts to autolaunch XBMC.

Why are you reviving this 2 year old thread?
