Reinstalled XBMC - no audio options available in XBMC dash

First of all I appreciate the help provided by this forum!!!

I reinstalled a new version of XBMC as my default dash. It worked fine. However, I do not have any audio options anymore. In the MS Dash where I go pushing the Eject-button I can set Dolby Surround. However, back in XBMC dash all other options than Analog are greyed out. My receiver seems to indicate that it receives only a stereo signal.
Is this a hardware problem? Or have I messed something up? :nod: :no:

Dolby surround is an analog signal.

If you don't have a digital cable hookup, that's all you'll see in XBMC.

I have a optical digital cable.

Then your AV pack isn't setting the correct flags to tell XBMC that it has a digital connection setup. Many crappy 3rd party AV packs don't set these correctly.

You won't see the settings available in the MS Dash either.
