Hello, My name is Andrew and I'm a experienced web-developer from Las Vegas, Nevada. I work with PHP, XHTML, CSS, and JavaScript. I've been a huge fan of XBMC for about 3 years.

While browsing Digg today I came across this article about the future expansion of XBMC to Linux. I read through the Wiki trying to find something I can possibly contribute to. For my lack of knowledge in C++ I could not help directly with the port but I can help with anything related to the web.

From what kazamx noted in the comments on Digg,

If you know anyone who can help with the port or maybe if you have other skills they need please drop into the forums and let them know.

I know that Pike (the Project Leader) is looking for a Webmaster (mostly content but basic html skills wouldn't hurt)
a Vbulletin skinner to make a nice skin for the forum. They would also like to start building some marketing material and just getting the word out there.

If you can help, then please help

If this position is still open I'd like to apply.

Um, if possible, I would Like to also apply for this position. I have experience with PHP, MySQL, HTML/CSS, XHTML, DHTML, and JavaScript.

I can have my portfolio set up in about a day of some of the websites I have developed in the past.

I have created vbulletin, phpBB, and IPB skins as well both fluid and fixed.

I am quite a fanatic for XBMC so it would be an honor to design a site for them.

Thanks for the offers - please either post your portfolio here, or if you don't wish to make it public, PM one of us (spiff, myself, pike etc.) and we'll take it from there.

Cheers,
Jonathan

I'd just like to point out that we're not looking for web developers as much as someone who is a 'wordsmith' and who likes to document this project on a new website.

I just like to bump this by mentioning that we are looking for web developers to improve and maintain the web interface in XBMC (for web-remote control) (http://xboxmediacenter.com/wiki/index.php?title=The_Web_Interface), maybe use the existing XBMC AJAX Interface (http://xbmc.org/forum/showthread.php?t=18680) as a base (as it looks like LiquidIce629 has abanoned that project?)?

...though we can not accept any applicants without proof of skill and devotion so please jump right in and start editing/improving that and post updates in these forums, and we will contact you if and when we feel you are ready.
