I set up lirc to use my Pinnacle PCTV remote last night, and everything worked in XBMC except the down key. I tracked it down to a lircd.conf.pctv change in the latest code (submitted Jan 2007) where they changed the button code for that button from "Chan-Stop" to "Chan+Stop". It looks like a typo as the comment still says "Chan-Stop". I fixed my setup by changing lircd.conf to the old button code.
Can XBMC map more than one button code to a single action? If so, adding the new button code (and keeping the old) in Lircmap.xml may save some headache. I can't try at the moment since I'm at work.
