View Full Version : Files not visible after copying.
I just recently set up the xbmc with a 750 gb HDD. After copy many files from my PC to the XBOX, seems I cannot copy anymore. I have tons of space left, but when I try and copy files, I get the progress bar, and can see the space of the drive decreasing as the files copy, but when it finishes I can only see the folder and not the files. I've tried deleting the entire copied folder and the space on my drive isnt increasing either. Anyone have suggestions?
Formatted it right??
Look at this, maybe it'll help you.

And this helped me, though it might be a bit out of date.

I don't know if it works for a drive as large as yours. You can also check on xbox-scene.com
k thanks everyone. didnt know there were limitations on HDD. That sucks.
Well, from the first link I posted, I gather this:
Note: XBMC only supports F: and G: partitions for harddrives and 512GB per partition!
and
Largest partition supported by a LBA48 BIOS and 32k clusters is 512GB, so 512GB+ need G: partition.
meaning you can use a drive up to 1TB with XBMC. (Both F: and G: have 512GB then)
You just have to make sure you format with 32k clusters, otherwise you'll corrupt your data. Your info shows you have a modchip, so probably the LBA-support won't be an issue. (but don't take my word for it! ;))

a buddy of mine just helped me update the BIOS and so far it's back to working normal. He said the BIOS was old.
