I understand that there is an issue with http://www.xbmcscripts.com/. Is there somewhere else that the scripts can be found? I have looked extensively and found a few here and there but so far not the ones I am looking for. It might be a giid idea to have them all in another location for just such contingencies- like the #***** server or somthing.

Anyone heard any news on when the xbmcscripts.com website will be fixed?
we are working to solve the issues.. please be patient.
we now have the site working, only some issues with the installer not installing.

Sorry to hear you guys are having issues with the site.
I went to the site just now and it does not appear to be working. The main page loads with center panel blank, and the scripts link loads a completely blank page (view source shows a completely empty page).
Not being impatient, just wanted to let you know. Tried it on firefox and ie.
Well, it was working. This is starting to look like a joke. Oh well, at least I think I know what the issue is this time.

I know that it is probably alot to ask, but is there any chance of the scripts being uploaded to one of the 'usual places' in the mean time?
By the way, I'd like to thank whoever is involved with xbmcscripts.com for thier great service and vigilant efforts. I'm sorry that you are having problems with the site, it must be quite frustrating.

I don't think there will be a mirror of the site, but something will have to change as things aren't optimal as it is. I will discuss it with blittan and see what happens.
Site's up again now, but due to a bug I can't fix right now it will likely go down soon enough. Should be fixed permanently tomorrow tho. Thanks for your patience and kind words.

I'm having trouble getting this script for a long time. have the issues been there long?
1. it would be good to have version number printed in gui.

says 1.7, but in code it says 1.4...
3. the newest version that is on the xbmcscripts, will always show the mandatory update, nothing else...

na for me as well since the last two days
seems the server is down, told EnderW to contact the serveradmins.. so hopefully it will be up again soon.
while on the subject of xbmcscripts.com, what is the proper protocol to update a script listed on there? is it possible to update a script being listed, without having to make a new listing? is there a guide or information anywhere on how to do this? just wondering, thanks

Only the original uploaders of a script may update the listing directly. If you want to update a script that you haven't originally uploaded please submit it as a new script.
Is there any major reason why xbmcscripts couldn't be hosted on xbmc.org ?

xbmcscripts.com is going to get hosted on xbmc.org, this will be added (hopefully) in atlantis..
if xbmcscripts.com is down after tuesday i will mirror it on xbmc.org until things are solved.

thats awesome. its just kind of funny that in this day and age with technology and uptimes the way they are, that a server stays down for several days
that server hosting is the crappiest ever, but since there is a new installer in the works, feels like there is no need to mess with changing host and such..
It's up again, but the server should be changed I agree. I'm insanely busy right now, so I guess it'll wait a little while longer as the new installer is in the works.

Yes, I think it has been down for almost 1 week, I miss it! They really did a great job, but it seems the server they use is not reliable.
For the one who look for script here are few other sources you probably already know:

Voinage plugins (http://code.google.com/p/voinage-xbmc-plugins/)
Coolblaze (http://code.google.com/p/coolblaze-xbmc-plugins/)
Download section of passion-XBMC (http://passion-xbmc.org/tpmod/?dl), descriptions are in French but script and plugin are international.
And a new script "Installer passion", pretty similar to xbmc script, but also provide plugins, skins, scrapers in addition of scripts. The installer offers more scripts and plugins than the download section since in it on a separate server.
It is still in development (beta4 has been release), the GUI is still in French but we are currently working to support more language.

xbmcscripts will be back.. besides that I am in the progress of moving all the scripts to xbmc.org instead, since xbmcscripts.com is messy.
But real life is holding me back, have a stubborn liver infectection that makes me really tired, so besides work and my family I dont have to much energy to do so much on that, but have patience.. things are going to improve.
Ok, server's been up for some days, but seeing as xbmcscripts was the reason it got shut down xbmcscripts is currently disabled. The reason for this is my lack of time to maintain the site, so the security holes in mambo/docman haven't been patched. It got hacked again and used for phishing last week so the company pulled the plug. $50 down the drain for me to get the server back up, but oh well :)
I am not sure what will happen next, I will discuss with blittan what we'll do. I got 4 exams in the coming 2 weeks so I can't prioritize the site now, but hopefully I will find time to update it. Updating it isn't as easy as it sounds though, as the site is somewhat modified. I am terribly sorry for this, but please have some understanding that things run on a hobby-basis can't necessarily be perfect. Thanks for caring about the site :)

Thanks for the work you've put into xbmcscripts. Sucks it was hacked, but yea, exams do seem a little bit more important :) I can definately understand the hobby basis website stuff. I do that myself, too. Can't wait for either xbmcscripts.com to return or xbmc.org to be implemented as far as script hosting goes.

@Blittan & EnderW, I've offered to help with coding the backend of the "new" site before, and my offer still stands. Please email me if you need anything to help keep the ball rolling.
My PHP skills aren't great, but they exist, and I know how to google solutions.
I don't know exactly what all is planned for the new addons center, but I have some ideas if you guys want to get a discussion going.
Unfortunately, I am in the same boat as you two, my work schedule is very demanding and I have a 2-year-old I like to spend time with, but maybe between the 3 of us we can get something done at a reasonable speed.
Great to hear you are still on it. Don't worry guy, it is fully understandable you have your own priorities, we will way for xbmc script to be back.

The site has been updated and their is a lot more scripts and plugins
there is also a user download section now. where you signup (signup is free)
to get access to even more scripts and plugins.

has been wiriten on the home page and on the plugins page is that ok? it will attract people to your website. and basically all of Voinages plugins on xbmc.webs are now just links straight to the page of that plugin on http://code.google.com/p/voinage-xbmc-plugins/.

Do what you want with the links just don`t spam the forum and try to force people to sign in to your site to get freely available plugins... we already have Sites that work very well, and even better ones being re-built by extremely talented and dedicated people.
Not interested in the praise - just glad that my plugins are FREELY available to both members and non.
Stop pushing your bloody site, if it`s good people will go.

I was browsing around to find out more about this womderful looking App. I went to try and visit the plugins page and I got a 403 error. I dont know why I would be forbidden to access this site Unless your server has a block of ips that are banned. My ISP is wightman telecom if any can help here.
yes, I am in the process of moving this to xbmc.org, just gotten the entire scriptlist from xbmcscripts and need to sort through 200+ files to get the current working versions.

xbmcscripts.com is a separate entity from xbmc.org. They were recently hacked and will be up as soon as possible from what I know.

The site is closed down at the moment so nothing's wrong on your end. I know a 403 is very uninformal and I hope to change that soon, just gotta clean up the mess first. As blittan said he has started moving the scripts, so hopefully things will be good soon. Thanks for the patience :)

At last, good news for those who want scripts and plugins... I have posted a place where you can download them in the Navi-X Media Browser! Under the Navi-X Media Portal > Navi-X Networks > Scripts and Plugins. I downloaded them from www.xbmczone.com and other places. If you want to get your scripts and plugins on Navi-X, please upload them to www.xbmczone.com and when I see them, I will add them to Navi-X. You can also e-mail me if your in a hurry. I will keep a backup of them and find different servers if I have troubles, but you won't have to go anywhere else but here to download them instantly and the source will always work! Enjoy!
