View Full Version : Long time Xbox fan getting into modding.

Hey guys. I've been researching the whole Xbox 1 modding scene for a while, and I think I have the basic facts right. Softmodding uses an exploit found in some games. Yet I've gotten some conflicting reports. Some friends say that I would have to do a lot of code writing to get the mods, but other friends say that all I have to do is drag and drop onto an action replay. So:
1. To mod my 'box, all I have to do is drag and drop the game saves onto the memory card? Then just load the saves?
2. What's better (for XBMC and overall), UnleashX or EvoX?
3. What's the best skin for XBMC? I like the Apple TV one, but can't seem to find a good download source. (Sorry if that's illegal :( )

1. save game and original game eg spliter cell, too much info to list here. search for ndure softmod
2. XBMC ofcourse
3. I prefer MC360 or PM3. team blackbolt has mc360 for download. pm3 comes with xbmc

Oh... So do I need to install EvoX / UnleashX BEFORE I install XBMC?

evoX unleashX will install when you run the softmod.
YOu can then install XBMC and if you wish set XBMC to run as the default dashboard.

I had problems using a softmod with evox with dhcp it would only let me do static ip address. Unleashx is what I use now

thanks for the help guys. Now I just need an action replay... eBay seems so expensive. North of 20 for an item thats like 4 years old? ???

gohome, no you dont need AR.. use a normal usb stick and a xbox usb adapter. much cheaper - you can even make one yourself
unleashx has much faster ftp transfers than evox when you upload xbmc
