If this is yet implemented, i have no able to found it. It's simple a command to make a thumbnail using frame when you can get a IMDB cover as iTunes, Windows XP or Gnome/Nautilus does. In a first time it could be of second 5 (for example) and later when someone have more time to do it, could be able to pause reproduction of the video at a exact place and use an option at MPlayer controler to use that frame as thumbnail. I believe it's implemented something similar to this, but it's not automated.
while it is possible to do this with mplayer (using -vo jpeg i believe), such a feature is not implemented in xbmc. but i dont think this how we're generating the thumbnail images whiich are associated to video bookmarks.

Yes, exactly what i want... but without the PC ;-) If IMDB thumbnail fails, use that command automaticaly with that file and made it a little up-wards recursively to show it on the root folder as Windows XP does (this last yet it's more dificult).
