Please help!!! Create playlist on dvd and auto play

Hello XMBC gurus,

I m very new here and XBMC and have been searching for a way to automatically play a playlist that is on DVD when the disc is inserted. Basically what i want to do is to burn a bunch of movie files on dvd (like episode series) and create a playlist file (also stored on dvd disc) and then have XBMC automatically play all the movie files according to such playlist when the disc is being inserted (sort of like a normal dvd disc). I came across some python scripts but wasn't exactly the one I need. Can someone please help? (note, I dont even know how to create a video playlist - please accept my apology for ignorance).

You cant do that. Xbmc's autorun doesnt look for a particular playlist file upon disc insert though it sounds like a useful idea. Post an RFE. About the closest thing you can do is try to fake either a VCD or an SVCD. This is just a matter of using the correct directory structure, and naming the files correctly. They will play sequentially based on the identifier in the name. (AVSEQ##).
