View Full Version : YouTube - limit on file size?

I installed the YouTube script last night, as I wanted to watch the Pilot Tenacious D episode that is on there. I know that it's about 10 minutes long, and when I go to view it the activity lights on my router flash for a while and then just stop. The video does not begin to play.

On shorted clips, with a few seconds of selecting them, they start playing. I can only think that it's because the file size of the clip is too big. Does anyone else have this trouble, is there any way around it?

Cheers.

no, you're wrong. I've got no idea why some won't work, but no file is ever downloaded at all. It caches the files. It loads the file for a couple of seconds so that it won't stop all the time, and while you watch it it downloads the rest of the file at the same time. It's a very simple yet clever idea.

Hmmm, should I try adjusting the cache size? It just seems to be the longer files that I try don't work, yet the shorter ones do.
