this is kinda frustrating, hope someone can help. i've been using xbmc for a couple of weeks now and it's been working great. the problem is that now some of my videos do not work, but some do. and the videos that do not play, had no problems playing before. has this happened to anyone else, and if so do you have any suggestions?
did you update to a newer xbmc build since you started having problems?

i got the same problem but fixed it by delete the crapfile xp makes in all media folders "thumbs.db"
if you do use mediaplayer in winxp and prewievs any folder or play files in your pc. the problem can return.
simply delete all "thumb files"
restarted xbox and all files played again.

thanks for the replies! i've updated and deleted those files you recommended. i also brought network cache down to 4 mb, and finally reset my folder sharing on my pc. one or a combination of those worked. thanks again.
from browsing here, this seems to be a common problem with xbmc. are there no "stickies" in these forums for such common problems (i couldn't find anything in the faqs either)?
