Problem playing video files *.vob

i have a few dvd rips that used to play back ok on previous builds of xbmc but i've recently upgraded and find that some play back with broken audio and distorted video. the main error message in debug mode is: 27-03-2006 20:41:49 debug cdvdplayeraudio:: detected audio discontinuity, syncing clock. diff was: 4025, 68031, av: 36028

any help would be appreciated.

i have removed the video.db file in the albums directory - no change.

it looks like the file is broken.. just a question thou, why are you playing the vob file directly? you should start dvd's with the video_ts.ifo file to play the dvd.
