as you may already know, xbmc (xboxmediacenter) (http://sourceforge.net/projects/xbmc/) is currently in a feature-freeze & bug-bash (http://www.xboxmediaplayer.de/cgi-bin/forums/ikonboard.pl?act=st;f=1;t=19350).
we just discovered that we have been nominated in two categories in sf's community choice awards (http://sourceforge.net/awards/cca/).
please help by submitting your votes for xbmc:

- best multimedia project (http://www.wilsonresearch.com/2006/ostgawards06/ostgawards9.php)
- best game project (http://www.wilsonresearch.com/2006/ostgawards06/ostgawards7.php)

these are the first annual sf community awards; vote for open source projects you think are shaping the technology landscape.

voting has already started and ends on:
usa: thursday 3/23/06, 11:59 pm est
eu: 2006-03-24, 4:59 am gmt

winners are announced at the slashdot lounge at linuxworld expo, boston, april 5.
thanks for your vote in both categories (scroll to the bottom of each category)!

congrats

you blokes have done such a fantastic job. i dont have time for games anymore, but my xbox still sits in the living room thanks to xbmc. its simply a great bit of software.

btw, i will donate my first born child if one of the team manages to fix the post processing. :saint: to me atleast, this is the last major item that is preventing xbmc from being all it can be.

i received an email from sf about it and voted already (for you guys of course). good luck, i think that you have some lamo competition in those categories so i think it should be an easy victory (knock on wood still).
