Autoplay Audio CD w/ Softmod ?

i have found that if i boot up my softmodded xbox (evolutionx as dash) with a store bought audio cd in the drive, the xbox dash comes up with "xbox live cannot be contacted". then i have to remove the disc, close the drive, reboot, and start xbmc, before i am able to play the disc through xbmx. this also happens if i swap from a cd-r disc to an audio disc from within xbmx.

ideally, what i want to be able to do is to leave my xbox on (running xbmc) and pop a disc in, and have it autoplay, without having to reboot or turn the tv on to navigate menus.

question is, if i make xbmc my dashboard, will the problem be resolved, or is this impossible with a softmod? will the xbox dash always take over when a store bought disc is inserted?

if you check our faq, you'll find that we do not support softmods.
also, this seems to be more of a bootup issue, and thus not xbmc specific, so i'm moving it to xbox general.
