i noticed that there is a fan controller in the settings of xbmc. my question is when i switch the fan speed it works fine, but when i click into a game/movies ...etc the fan speed turns to normal. how can i keep that fan speed that i set in xbmc during games/movies?

override speed control and set it where you want it.

for movies it should take the fan setting which you have setup in the settings menu.

but for games it will not work, as xbmc will terminate and then launch the game. xbmc is no longer in memory and cannot control the fanspeed anymore.

for general adjusting the fanspeed (in games, other programs outside of xbmc, etc) just configure your bios with the new fan-setting and flash the bios back to your chip.
so, the fansetting is then stored to the bios.

please have a look at xbox-scene.com how to change the fanspeed in the bios and how to flash a bios. there are a lot of guides and tipps in the forums.
this is not xbmc related.

yes you are right, i didn't saw that this thread was in "xbox general" because i go to each thread using the "new posts" function. perhaps i overlooked the forum ..

anyway.. i just tried to help him with forwarding to xbox-scene in my last post because there are already a lot of information and guides regarding technical issues of the xbox.
also the heading for the forum "xbox general" says the following:
xbox general
general xbox related chit-chat and discussions, (no support/help questions!)
for support/help on non-xbmc related xbox stuff visit www.xbox-scene.com

in my first post i already explained in detail how the fan-setting in xbmc works.

and instead of flaming back to me, why didn't you help him out and answer him how to flash his bios ??
