ok, i have been searching and searching. this is driving me crazy. i know xbmc has a built in feature to access files from a replaytv. and i know of tivo.

i remember reading about another very small company that claims their dvr can be accessed directly by an xbox. for the life of me, i can not remember what it is. it wasn't an open source project. it was an actual dvr. anyone? i just want to read about it again.

i actually started the following on x-s:

some recent standalone pvr solutions seem to be able to record over samba. it does exclude xbmc atm but linux distros can do the job and xbmc can play the files of course *:kickass:

i'll keep an eye out for it.
