i've searched the forums but can't find info on it.

i'm having a smb share: movies.
playing a .iso mostly works.

but when i try to play an bin/cue image of a s(k)vcd it mostly shows an self-made image of the creator.

mounting the image or extracting the mpg/avi to a folder plays fine.

there's also a big difference in soundlevels between a dvd and an avi or mpeg. strange, however i can't find specific option for that?

any suggestions?

it's possibe mplayer doesnt support s(k)vcd? (whatever that is) images. i never tried such an image myself

avi / mpegs usually contains "processed" 2channel audio.
dvd's contains 5.1 with much lower levels, thats why dvd's sounds lower.

thanks for the reply.

mplayer does play the movie, but not from within an bin/cue.
i guess i have to live with it.

i'll try to request the feature to set dvd sound levels apart from avi/divx. maybe it will be fullfilled.

if they can set mp3 to 89 db, it would be possible for movies too?

we'll see...
