i want to *shutdown my xp computer useing the network. and useing xbmc too :d i find is sol - shutdown pc on lan *python-script. on here http://www.plusminusnull.de/sol/
but i don't know how to put the python-script in my xbox. and make it work :) some body help me? :)

how did you get xbmc on your xbox to being with??? just upload the file via ftp to the "scripts" folder off your xbmc installtion.

i got my xbox mod for me from http://friendtech.com i did ftp to the scripts but it don't work help :d
what didnt work? the ftp or the script? you just cant run any old python script on the xbox. if you cant get the script to work, ask for help in the python forum.
** edit ** and if you still have the version of xbmc you have on there, then upgrade it. we can only provide support the most current version.

i got the ftp the to work but i don't how to make the script to work. i am not a geek :) i want have my xbmc to be upgrade. i don't want play with it is. stop working :d

start xbmc in the lower right you'll see buttons one is for power down/info etc. (is far right) the one on the left is for scripts, put on that button and press a, go up one (scripts) and press a and will open window for scripts directory... select your script and there you go.
**note most scripts pertaining to local network control/interface must be edited before uploading to your xbox using notepad or some other type of editor.

well you can google... or you can search the forums for "how to compile"
since talking about prebuilds is a big no no here no further detail can be covered on that.
as far as backup, sure just ftp and copy your xbmc to your pc as a backup ;)

how to i backup. i only ftp in to my xbox and copy the *xbmc folder to my computer? :)
the ftp work in the xbmc. if i do find new xbmc. and it don't work how can i restore the xbmc the 1 did work before? :bowdown: see i don't know no body to fix it. if it stop working and i will be mad :veryangry: help me out? :help:
