Is XBMC still being developed?

i'm seriously considering getting an xbox classic for the sole purpose of running something like xbmc. however, while reading this web site, especially the download page, i noticed that version 1.1 is a little dated. i do see that the forums are very active, which i take as a good sign of life for this community, but is there any developement on a new version or any updates to the existing version? just don't wanna blow my pennies on something with a short future.

xbmc is still in development, and hopefully it will also be in development in the future. you can see daily updates if you look at the changelog:

and if you look at top 100 most active projects on whole sourceforge.net xbmc is at place 56. not bad if you ask me.

in fact this probably the most active for xbox......... :agree:
