noob alert.
i've ripped a few dvds to my pc in hopes of streaming them to xbmc. i've been able to get some excellent performance out of ccxstream, maintaining at least a 50% buffer during even the busiest scenes. picture quality is incredible using 480p.
one problem i've i have is that when i select the third vob of the dvd set, i get no audio what so ever. the first and second vobs play fine, but the the third simply doesn't stream the audio track despite the display showing an ac3 stream. this ac3 stream is described differently than the first two vobs. the first two describe the stream as "ac3-spdif" while the third vob describes the stream as "ac3-liba52". the next vob displays no audio track while the last vob plays fine with audio. i've also noticed that the vobs that have audio trouble don't play at the correct framerate. the good vobs run at 23.97 fps (ntsc film) while the bad vobs run at just over 31 fps. and yes, i have ripped the disc several times using dvddecrypter.
i've searched the forums for this problem but have so far come up empty handed. for those who ask why i don't just play the dvd in the xbox: it won't play. the interactual dvd player splash pops up after the dvd is inserted and xbmc locks up tighter than a midget's fist. btw, the dvd is the two towers extended edition.
any help (or direction) would be appreciated.
