Wrong info connected to music album...

cvs build 2004-02-26 (and earlier too):

when doing a lookup on an music album (button "info" on remote) i sometimes get only 1 search result and it gets connected to the album automatically, eventhough it is totally wrong.

correct behaviour would be to show the result of the search also for only 1 hit, in the same way that is done with multiple hits, so you can choose to discard or use the search result.

for example the folder "eric gadd - on display" get connected to "pantera".

another examples of this behaviour:

"david_bowie - best_of_bowie_2cd-2002-just" connects to "the chieftains".

"lenny krawitz - the very best ('99)" connect to "stevie b"


in general i can't understand how the search result is produced from the search string.

update: it is supposed to work for any folder, not only cd discs, right? ???

after having talked to some people in the irc channel i'm not certain this should work at all for music on hd/share. some indicate it's only supposed to work for original cds. ???

if so, i suppose the function to do a info look-up should be removed from everything but a cd disc.

but, it would be very nice if it worked for music on your hd/share, since you can get cover picture, review of the album, track list etc. :d

for me it actually do work for some of the mp3 music i have on my share, but for some it just don't find anything that matches, and still other's get auto-connected to the wrong info (above post).

maybe a dev. could explain how it's supposed to work/and not? ???
