i have a zap2it account and trying to setup mytv. i changed the datasource_zap2it.py with my id/password which pulls down my channel listing but every show lists as "no programme". i created another account on zap2it to test and it pulls the lineup just fine but there are no details showing for any channel and all i see is "no programme". i tried the yahoo script and it grabbed the channels and show listing info perfectly, problem is specific to zap2it.

not sure what other details are needed but will happily post whatever is needed to get this sucker fixed up.

thanks all

i also live in canada (toronto) and was having trouble using zap2it. i switched to yahoo and i think i correctly changed the datasource_yahoo.py

this is what is looks like

# pick one of the above and put it here
country_code_canada = 'us_eastern'

when i try it i get an error about it not being defined. is this what yours looks like. could you please show me yours or send me your datasource_yahoo.py file.

thanks

i contacted the dev and went through a few things. seems my problem was because the date/time was majorily off. i selected "internet time syncronization" in xbmc, it fixed up my time and the problem i was having as well.

something to try maybe?

tedlee10, for the yahoo datasource, you've misunderstood the instructions.

for you, change:
country_code = country_code_italy

to

country_code = country_code_canada

this will set the country_code to whatever country_code_canada is set to be.

country_code_canada itself can be changed to be either a timezone or a provider.

selecting by timezone edit country_code_canada to use one of these:
us_eastern, us_central, us_mountain, us_pacific, us_alaskan, us_hawaiian

eg:
country_code_canada = 'us_central'

selecting by provider edit country_code_canada to use one of these:
us_ditv1, us_ditv2, us_ditv3, us_ditv4, us_ditv5, us_ditv6, us_echost1, us_echost2, us_echost3, us_echost4, us_echost5, us_echost6

eg:
country_code_canada = 'us_ditv1'

for the zap2it datasource, the 'no programme' display is nearly always down to xbmc not being time sync'd with internet.

hope that clears it up for you.

radiotimes - :) (i live in the uk)

otherwise it would have to be zap2it. as it has genre data, which allows you to use the genre logo system.
