DVD-Video menu-buttons not working

on some dvd's the menu buttons are not being highlighted and i can't select them.

i am seeing this on 3 mr bean dvd's and a couple of 'interactive' game dvd's (wallace and grommit and sudoku).

i am using the 2005-12-05-t3ch release. i am having to use dvd-x to play them instead (which works fine).

are there any known issues with menu buttons?

i have the same issue on 7th nov release.
it seems only the highlight part is sometimes missing,
but in fact you can use arrow keys, and ok button to select a menu item.
it is just that the highlight isnt visible...

if you can provide a sample (either send a disc, or upload the menu system (all ifo files and such together with the menu vob files, the movie vob files are not needed).) we can then try to fix this much and much easier.
