View Full Version : lcd with exchanger and xbmc
hey...got the followin problem: i soldered an lcd-mod-lcd-con-lcd-display to my exchanger chip..got latest xbmc runnin...normally with lcd mod xbmc should be supported and shown on display...but the display still stays blue...in settings are only smart, xenium and executer available any idea how to that thing to work?
the exchanger not supported... like you found, the only available options are smart, xenium, and xecutor.
yeah, but with the lcd mod it should be able to...so any ideas?
xbmc needs to be coded to support the various lcd mods... the only ones coded for are smart, xenium, and xecuter.
can a bios-flash help?
i had an aladdin in my old box with executer2 bios...if i flash the exchanger with a bios of executer2,could that work?
i dont think so. the bios doesnt control the lcd. the chip's internal os controls the lcd. that's the problem. if your exchanger chip mimics another chip, then you may be able to get it to work, but you'll need to know what chip it mimics, and the addresses locations for the lcd lines.
