Turn-off LCD when launching game/application

as the title says, would it possible to somehow include a feature to turn off a lcd display (x3cp for instance) when launching a game or application. indeed, it is pointless to keep the lcd on at all time when playing game for hours.

i agree. the info "playing <some title>" is useless. i already know what i'm playing ;)

lcds dont have major lifetime issues. they dont 'burn in' either
