i'd like to see an option to enable/disable the fatx limiter in the normal 'my files' mode (so not ftp mode)
because when i'm copying files from a cd, which are not fatx compatible, to the harddisk it will fail.

seems pretty easy, cause this function is already there in ftp mode.

 any 'developer' reaction?

i can't see the problem.

it's always used when opening files on disc, and i recently added it to the directory handling as well.

and it's enabled/disabled by the ftp fatx setting?

tested it and it worked!

i've tested this about two weeks ago and at that time it didn't work...

is this 'new' feature in the changelog known as "- 22-10-2005 fixed: fatx limiter is now applied to directory names as well - thanks to soepy." ?
because you also mentioned "added it to the directory handling as well", but i would never have guessed with that description that it would be this feature (fatx in 'my files').

but hey, it's working! thnx
