TiVo vserver connectivity

would it be possible to get vserver connectivity added to xbmc to stream video from tivo to xbox. currently the use of ccxstream to do this has resulted in out of sync audio. i have seen versions of mplayer that contain this functionality and since xbmc uses mplayer it seems it would not be difficult at all.
