Stupid newbie question...

i had my xbox moded by a friend, and today i was messing with the xbmc, and trying to make it the default dashboard, i copied over the xboxmediacenter.xml, and renamed the default.xbe to evodash.xbe, copied them over and replaced the exsisting evodash.xbe. after a reboot, all i get it the executer ii screen, and nothing else, no ftp, nothing. so how can i get to the drive and replace that file the the working one? can i just hook up the ide cable from my pc, and copy it over? what are my options?

use some sort of boot disc.

you could make a xiso of xbmc and burn it to a cd-rw and boot with it...
