Putting thumbs with movies

i just wanted to know if it were possible to assign movie thumbs to movies, without having all of the imdb information. i know how to change the thumbs when you have the information downloaded from the imdb website, but for movies that arent on the site is it still possible to put pictures on for them?

prettymuch i want to put pictures to tv shows, music videos, etc but still be able to have the original file name appear on the lcd screen. since when you download the imdb stuff the title and summary of the movie info you downloaded is displayed on the lcd screen, rather than the name of the specific show or original file name.

e.g. tvshow1.avi, tvshow2.avi, and tvshow3.avi if you do a search in imdb for "tvshow", you get that information perfectly. so when you play tvshow1.avi the lcd shows the title as "tvshow". but when you play tvshow2.avi you still get the same stuff; the title is still "tvshow". is it possible to change the title, or just put the picture on there without imdb?

yes it's possible and how-to is all in the manual, basically you just use a 128x128 pixel-size jpg pictures renamed to movie_name.tbn and put it in the same folder as the movie

i have also found that a file called folder.jpg will also give me a picture as well. i have resized them to 350 x y, and all seems to work. of course this is only in file view. the database thumbnail is used when viewing by title etc.

fyi, if you havent tried...the imbd searches do tv shows too...
