well basically i was planning on modding a few boxes up and setting them up on a 5mbps pipe. i wasnt to allow people from all over to subscribe through my site and connect to a certain ip to play with excellent pings. is this possible???

so what, exactly, do the people subscribing do?

well if there is a way to setup the boxes on such a high speed line, there would be virtually no lag posible since you are playing at the full capacity of what the onboard card allows. so subscribers to the service wouldn't have to login to microsocfts server and could login directly to your ip and play the selected games. tournaments held and what not.... basiacally i have the carrier status to be able to host and server these boxes, i just want to know if it's capable and weterh anyone is alredy doing it..

so you actually just want some game servers...
you don't need xboxes for that - xboxes are only used for clients. i'm not sure which games you were planning to serve, but a lot of xbox live games are peer-to-peer, so once the game starts there's no connection to ms anyway - you're just directly connected to the other player.

moving this topic from "xbmc general discussion forum" to "xbox general discussion forum" as this has nothing to do with xbmc
