hi everyone,
the first problem i have is when i ftp into the box while xbmc is running, i can't read the contents of the dvd drive even though xbmc itself is reading the dvd fine. i tried sticking in a boot disk, and you can ftp in and read the dvd drive fine so it must be xbmc right? at first i thought it was to do with the bios and upgraded it but it's obviously not that given i can ftp and read the dvd drive contents with [admin note-- we do not recommend using slayer]'s. any ideas anyone?
second problem, i have the settings so that audio cd's autoplay and cddb lookup is on. the audio cd's do autoplay, but they don't look up cddb each time - so i'll get any new cd with the pic and name of the tracks of the first one i put in. to get new info i have to manually go in a and hit scan if i want new names and info if i want new album covers. i've noticed that only the cddb info for one cd audio album is kept at any one time in the library list.
third problem, is there anyway to get xbmc to look up all the album covers for mp3 directories as a batch process. i tried going into the root of a dvd mp3 volume and it scans all the folders but doesn't dload any covers. all it does it attribute any jpgs that might already be in the album dirs to that directory.
fourth problem (really a question), i'm pretty sure that even when u supply a folder.jpg in an album directory, that xbmc takes it and cache's it. i don't know if i was checking the right place but i noticed that my folder.jpg's (which are large 500x500 album covers) are getting copied to cache not as smaller thumbs but as the same size! is there anyway to get it to cache smaller ones from the larger ones?
finally, i'm using xbmc aug 20th pimped version - anyone having trouble with the imdb look up?
appreciative for any help especially the first two, they're driving me up the wall.
